There are many wonderful communities that we serve in Southern Vermont and Bennington County.  Here is some more information on just a few:

Bennington Area Towns

Manchester, VTManchester Center
Manchester is located at the foot of the 3,816’ high Mt. Equinox and is situated on Route 7A south. The village of Manchester has an old world atmosphere though Manchester Center is a shopper’s paradise! It’s located in the southwestern corner of Vermont state, and is situated midway between Bennington and Rutland.  Also, the village has enjoyed being the exclusive destination for the rich and famous. The summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln, the son of President Abraham Lincoln, is located here.

Arlington Covered BridgeArlington, VT
Arlington lies between the Taconic Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains to the east. Also, it was the Capital of Vermont in 1787. The town is rich in its history and has many unique features, like that of the world renowned Battenkill River that flows through Arlington on its way west to the Hudson. The river is very famous for its trout fishing.

ShaftsburyShaftsbury, VT
Shaftsbury is one of the main towns of Bennington County. It lies in the west central part of Bennington County. Shaftsbury is bounded by Arlington (north), Glastenbury (east), Bennington (south), and White Creek (west).

Pownal, VT
Welcome to PownalPownal is the southwestern most town in Vermont.   A 5 minute drive south of Bennington this small community covers a large area geographically in relation to it’s population.  US route 7 South runs directly through the middle.  The Long Trail, a long distance hiking trail begins on the border of Pownal and Massachusetts.

North Bennington Train StationNorth Bennington, VT
The village of North Bennington is located north and west of Bennington.  It borders Bennington, Shaftsbury and North Hoosick, New York.   North Bennington has a small art community, a handful of restaurants and beach access to one of the only Lakes in the area.  Bennington College occupies a corner of the village.

Old Bennington has significant historical significance and is one of the earliest Vermont settlements.  The village is known for  well preserved Revolutionary war-era homes.  Many homes have plaques indicating the historical figure who had owned/built them.
