Selling a home requires an entire team of industry professionals. We have spent years developing our strong home selling team as well as relationships with industry professionals in our area which ensures as smooth a transaction as possible. Communication is critical and during the transaction, we will communicate with each party often to make sure everything is going as expected.
Here are the members of our team and their role in helping you buy the home that is right for you:
Your Real Estate Team, The Brenda Jones Real Estate Group: We will be helping you prepare your home for sale and then we will get to work marketing it and getting potential buyers interested. We will also verify that buyers are qualified, help you choose the best offer, negotiate on your behalf, and make sure all the deadlines outlined in the contract are met.
Attorney: A real state attorney will run an ownership and permit history search on your home to make sure there are no issues with ownership as the property changes hands. They will also handle all the paperwork, create the final set of documents to sign by both parties, coordinate the transfer of money between buyer and seller, and make sure the property closes in a timely manner.
Inspector: The inspector, hired by the buyer, will inspect the property for defects, usually after the offer has been accepted by both parties. Don’t worry if the inspector finds defects – every home has defects! Usually most defects are minor, but the buyer and buyer’s agent will determine what they would like you to fix before closing. We will negotiate these terms on your behalf.
Appraiser: The appraiser, hired by the buyer’s lender, will conduct a physical review of the property to verify its market worth. We will coordinate this process.
